Terms of service
Last updated: 07 February 2026
By using Invoicegenerators.in ("the Service"), you agree to the following terms. If any part sounds unreasonable, don't use the Service — but do tell us why so we can improve it.
1. The Service, briefly
We provide a browser-based tool to generate invoice PDFs, free of cost. You keep full ownership of the invoices you create.
2. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter on invoices — your GSTIN, tax rates, HSN codes, addresses, and totals.
- You are responsible for complying with all applicable tax and business laws in your jurisdiction.
- You will not use the Service to create fraudulent, misleading or illegal invoices.
- You will not attempt to disrupt the Service or reverse-engineer our code beyond what open-source licensing permits.
3. What we don't warrant
We provide the Service "as-is". While we try our best, we do not warrant that:
- The Service is legally sufficient for every tax authority worldwide.
- The Service will be uninterrupted or bug-free.
- The tax calculations are current with every rate change on every date.
Always double-check your invoice before sending it to a customer or filing GST returns.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, punitive or incidental damages arising from your use of the Service — including but not limited to loss of income, tax penalties, or business reputation. Our total aggregate liability is capped at ₹100 or the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (whichever is higher — for a free service, the cap is essentially ₹100).
5. Fair use
Even though the Service is free, we ask that you not:
- Automate mass invoice creation via scripts without permission (rate limit: 60 invoices/hour per IP).
- Scrape our HTML/CSS to build a competing free product without attribution.
- Attempt to exploit the free tier for commercial resale.
6. Content and IP
- You own the invoices you generate.
- We own the templates, code and design of the Service.
- You grant us a limited, revocable licence to store the invoices you explicitly save to cloud (for the purpose of showing them back to you).
7. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms after a written warning (except in cases of abuse or legal violation, where suspension is immediate).
8. Changes to terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated by email (for signed-up users) or by a banner on the site.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Pune, Maharashtra.
